Yorkshire is a county full of delightful sights, from the sweeping beauty of the local landscapes to the quiet towns and villages that are scattered throughout. We explore the very best of this dramatic region on a relaxing five-day break where we visit Goathland, known for being the filming location of the TV series Heartbeat, as well as Beverley, Hornsea and the brooding fishing town of Whitby, forever associated with Bram Stoker’s Dracula! and an optional excursion into York. If you enjoy Yorkshire be sure to join us on this great value Summer Break.

MONDAY 22/06/26 – After pickups we head North. With our tour host refreshment service on board you will be well looked after and we also make suitable comfort stops en route. We arrive at our hotel with time to relax and settle in before enjoying our 3 course dinner. Entertainment is also arranged at the hotel on most evenings.

TUESDAY 23/06/26 – After breakfast we rejoin our coach and enjoy the first of our excursions which takes us to the charming coastal town of Whitby, famed for its connection to Bram Stoker’s Dracula and for its striking jet jewellery. Wander around the busy harbour before tackling the climb up to the atmospheric ruined abbey perched on the cliffs. Whitby was also once the home of the famous explorer Captain Cook, who lived here as an apprentice and is now immortalised as a local hero with a museum dedicated to his life and accomplishments and an impressive statue that looks out to sea. Later we head to the pretty village of Goathland, hidden away in the stunning North York Moors National Park. The village has attracted visitors since the 19th century, but Goathland’s popularity has soared since its appearance as Aidensfield in the hit TV series Heartbeat and its role in the Harry Potter films.

WEDNESDAY 24/06/26 – Today, after breakfast we head to the lovely market town of Beverley, one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets, boasting quaint courtyards, cobbled streets and historic buildings. The lovely 13th-century Minster is well worth a visit, renowned for its medieval stone carvings and pretty stained glass, and there is also a range of lovely boutiques, cafés and pubs. For the perfect mix of town and coast, we then make our way to the charming seaside town of Hornsea. Browse the shops for some famous Hornsea pottery, enjoy a stroll on the Blue Flag beach or admire the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire, home to a whole host of bird species.

THURSDAY 25/06/26 – Join us today for a fabulous optional excursion into the historic city of York. Highlights include the beautiful York Minster, the JORVIK Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum, or you may like to wander around the ancient walls which surround the city before heading to the charming ‘Shambles’, a warren of narrow lanes and overhanging buildings dating back to medieval times. OPTIONAL EXCURSION £20
